Women's economic empowerment

CARE aims to promote gender equality and one of the key ways in which this is achieved is by empowering women economically. Gender equality will never be achieved while women have fewer economic rights, less control over economic resources, and less access to economic opportunities, than men.

CARE aims to tackle the barriers that prevent the economic empowerment of women through work by striving to make employment safe, fairly remunerated and non-discriminatory for women.
Education is the key for marginalised women to expand
their life choices economic opportunities and be active
participants in society. CARE’s work in education strives to
promote qulaity education for all.
CARE’s work to support women's economic empowerment in Cambodia contributes to the global goals in CARE’s 2020 program strategy.
