CARE is seeking a qualified Cambodian national candidate to fill the position of Technical Advisor – Gender (TA-G) based in Phnom Penh with regular travel to other sites as required.

Roles and Responsibilities:
As the Technical Advisor – Gender, you will be responsible for leading CARE Cambodia’s work to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment institutionally, programmatically, and through advocacy and visibility efforts. CARE is committed to ensuring and improving gender integration within all its programs. You will provide technical and strategic guidance for projects and programs throughout their lifecycles, from development to implementation and quality assurance.
To excel at this technical advisory role, it is expected that you will have proven experience in mainstreaming gender within programs, applying gender transformative approaches and ensuring the compliance of program activities. Your prior experience leading the development and review of program design and implementation from a gender perspective will be invaluable when working collaboratively with program staff and technical specialists to assess the integration of gender within programs, identify gaps and learnings and provide technical guidance on approaches to improve gender integration.
Your up-to-date knowledge of key trends and best practices related to gender priorities will help improve the impact of CARE’s projects, as will your skills in identifying and developing strategic partnerships and maintaining strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders. You have demonstrated experience in providing technical support in monitoring, evaluation and learning methodology for gender projects and programs, including in building evidence of effective gender approaches and engaging in national dialogues. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will assist you to support internal and external stakeholders in building their capacity in gender equality and women’s empowerment, including by working with staff to identify training needs and priorities. You will lead collaboration across the organisation to promote organisational cohesion, learning and information sharing on gender-related topics.
