Safe Service for Minority Population Project Intern

Today, CARE focuses on empowering particularly marginalised and vulnerable women in Cambodia, including urban women who are marginalised by occupation, rural women who are denied multiple rights, and women and girls from ethnic minorities.

CARE is seeking a qualified national candidate who is enthusiastic and talented to fill the position Procurement Assistant based in Phnom Penh with regular travel to other sites as required.

I- RESPONSIBILITY:

Your major responsibilities will be varied and will include:

  • To learn the project overview and project context through daily learning and practicing;

  • To learn on how to organize and prepare the events and training practicing in daily project’s activities such as assist project team in logistic arrangement and prepare paper work for specific activities/events;

  • To learn on project’s tools and practice in data entry of project activities and provide basic analysis with support from the project staff;

  • To learn and practice document filling through assist the project staff in filling document both soft and hard copy;

  • To get more understanding on project’s activities by participate in organizational events and reflection learning; and

  • To build the communication skill by daily engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

II- SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Fresh graduate or student in business or international relation;

  • Practical experience in training or workshop as an advantage;

  • Knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Office (Ms. World & Excel);

  • Proficient in Khmer language both spoken and written. Indigenous and English language are preferred;

  • Good interpersonal, communication skills, adaptability and teamwork;

  • A willingness to learn about CARE, gender equality, sexual harassment, women’s empowerment activities and private business; and

  • Demonstrated characteristics in honesty, reliability, integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your experience in managing a small team of committed professionals, dedicated to improving education /sexual reproductive health outcomes for children, including children from minority populations

  • Flexible Working Arrangement: In order to improve employee’s work-life balance, CARE Cambodia has developed a flexible working arrangement policy. This will assist CARE Cambodia employees to attend to his/her personal needs; allow for off-peak travel; and to have more flexibility for child care.

  • Leave: CARE Cambodia provides staff with paid time off from work for rest and personal time or for other reasons. All full time employees are entitled to 18 days of Annual Leave, 15 days of Sick Leave, 5 days of Special Leave, 3 months Maternity Leave/Adoption Leave, 7 days of Parental Leave/Adoption Leave, Nursing Leave and Study Leave.

  • Public Holiday: CARE Cambodia the mandated public holidays (22) based on the Prakas by the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training.

  • Time Off In Lieu: CARE Cambodia promotes a healthy work and life balance and does not encourage employees to work outside normal working hours. If those employees have to work during the weekend or public holidays due to requirements, he/she will be entitled to Time off in Lieu.

  • Learning and Development: Continuous improvement through learning and development is a critical aspect of CARE Cambodia’s people focused agenda.

  • Remote Duty Station Allowance: Giving an understanding on some challenges facing by staff that moving to field offices at north eastern provinces, CARE Cambodia provides extra allowance to staff who has no permanent address at filed offices.
