CARE Cambodia is delighted welcome Joanne Fairley as its new Country Director.
Since the beginning of 2009, Joanne has been working with Lutheran World Relief. This was initially in Maryland, USA as Deputy Regional Director and later in Bangkok as Regional Director for Asia and the Middle East. Most recently Joanne has been helping with LWR’s relief efforts in the Philippines.
Joanne has a Masters in Arts International Affairs from the America University School of International Service and a Bachelor of Arts Political Science/Anthropology from Rutgers University, USA.
Joanne brings a wealth of experience from over 20 years of relief and development work. This experience has been gained through living and working in over 30 developing counties with extensive experience in South East Asia. Her strong operational experience and credentials in leadership and management will be a huge asset to CARE.
“I am delighted to join the CARE family,” says Joanne. “I look forward to working in partnership with the Government, local partners, and our national team to further the development goals of Cambodia.”
CARE Cambodia’s previous Country Director Stav Zotalis has moved to take up the position of Country Director for CARE Myanmar.
