Project profile
Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement (P.A.C.E.)
In Cambodia, the garment industry is one of the largest employers of female workers, and most workers have limited education and skills.
The Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement (P.A.C.E.) program is funded by Gap Inc. and is designed to bring about positive change in the lives of female garments workers, their families and their communities. Introduced in seven countries in which Gap Inc. operates, CARE Cambodia began implementing the P.A.C.E. program at the Bright Sky Pty. Ltd. factory in Phnom Penh in 2008.
Objective

Positively impact female garment workers in factories that make Gap Inc. products by providing them with foundational skills and support that will help with decision-making and problem-solving.

Synergize women’s personal and professional opportunities while building a better skilled workforce, increasing opportunities for advancement in the workplace, higher levels of productivity and employee loyalty.
