CARE works with socially marginalised women experiencing multiple denial of their rights for more than two decades
In Cambodia, CARE has over 20 years of experience working in the Garment Footwear and Travel good (GFT) sector and has developed a range of high-quality, inclusive, sustainable and adaptable engagement models to offer. We work with private sector, unions, brands, buyers, corporate and institutional donors and the government to address violence against women and girls, sexual harassment, women’s leadership, worker well-being, labor rights and ethical supply chains.
CARE focuses on developing ways of meaningfully engaging with workers and factory management teams to ensure the impact continues sustainably beyond projects’ circles. With our team’s extensive experience engaging with the garment sector, we understand challenges faced by management and can work with factories to meet their needs.
Our experience demonstrates that; when workers feel safe, have access to quality healthcare, are equipped with essential life skills, and are included in decision-making, the industry benefit from positive outcomes on economic and social significantly.
